# Docker: what is the Initial username and password

Hi, there,  
I use Docker run stardog, and It started successfully, I use: [Http://localhost:5820](Http://localhost:5820)  
and it ask me for username and password, I use admin for username and password,  
it shows a 404 error.  
what is the username and password ?

That is the expected behaviour for the root directory.

You should be able to connect to it via [http://stardog.studio](http://stardog.studio), stardog command or via the API.

Thank you serge.  
I use [http://stardog.studio](http://stardog.studio) and username:admin password:admin login.  
It does work now. But it really puzzled me for a while, Because the online installation instructions do not have such clear operation information. Hopefully these will be added to the manual to make it easier for beginners like me.
