# Stardog Free license - usage in academia

Hello,
I'd like to use the free version of Stardog Server ([Get Started with Stardog - Get Started Page | Stardog](https://www.stardog.com/get-started/)) as a data lake in a non-commercial academic project concerning sociology. It is not clear however if the license allows to use it in such a context.
This post from 2 years ago: [Update to Enterprise and Community trials](https://community.stardog.com/t/update-to-enterprise-and-community-trials/1533) claims that Stardog Free is "designed specifically for current students, instructors, and staff at accredited academic institutions [...] for the purposes of teaching, coursework, and/or non-commercial academic research." but the Stardog Free license ([https://info.stardog.com/free-software-license-agreement](https://info.stardog.com/free-software-license-agreement)) does not mention that in any way. Could you please confirm that is still the case? Thanks!
