# What OS to use?

I have traditionally run stardog on Debian, most recently Buster. But now it will not run there because it requires jre 8 which is not available for Buster. I find it odd that even version 6 still depends on such an old version of jre. What OS are people using?

I am running SD in a docket container but I am running other things in it as well. I don’t want to run only SD in the container. There must be a way to run SD other then in the container you linked to. What native OS supports SD?
