Is it possible to perform federation query over a Gremlins support database similarly to how you can use R2ML with a relational database.
I'm not quite clear on what exactly you're looking to do. Are you looking to use issue Gremlin queries over virtual graphs? A remote SPARQL endpoint? Something else?
If you're looking to query over a virtual graph I would think you'd be able to query over it just the same as you could over any other named graph. I don't think there's any way to query over federated SPARQL endpoints.
