I know there's not a lot of discussion on here about hardware but I'm hoping to have that discussion in the near future and came across something that was new to me and I thought I'd share.
It was this article on a Samsung NVMe SSD drive specifically built for key-value stores. It mentions being a, "drop-in replacement for software key-value databases like RocksDB". I'm a little skeptical of how drop-in it is but it certainly sounded interesting.
