Hi there!
Does Explorer have a limit for the amount of nodes and edges it can render?
I'm trying to visualize over 100K edges, but either Explorer crashes, or nodes' relations are no longer expanded.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Daniel,
Explorer documentation covers Explorer visualization limits: Stardog Explorer | Stardog Documentation Latest
Explorer visualizations are limited to approximately 5000 individual objects. A group counts as only 1 object.
What would you be looking to discover by visualizing over 100k edges?
Thanks,
Laura
Hi @Laura_Firey!
Thanks! So 5,000 objects/nodes. And how many relations/edges?
This visualization showed the world a representation of the web, and made people aware of what was being made.
This other viz made us see the known universe, and for many, made us feel closer to our cosmos.
The power of visualizations to connect people and help us understand the scale of large systems cannot be understated.
Now, we want, not only to see it, but interact digitally with it. We want to give the people of Mexico an experience to see their entire federation in data
The 5000 objects refers to classes, instances, and relationships (edges).
Explorer is a tool built to introspect data, observe patterns, and visually write and review complex queries. We remain focused on use cases where users interact, derive insights, and perform analysis on data in their knowledge graphs.
While the visualizations you shared are very impressive, we have found most of our end users want to see specific data points and paths, so we have focused on data accessibility in our visualizations.
Thanks,
Laura
Perfect! Thanks @Laura_Firey!
