It hasn't come up in a while but I wanted to share some stuff that I found. I was interested in some soft of declarative mapping for RDF visualization somewhat like what D3 does but for RDF. What I found was Linked Data Visualization Mapping (LDVM)

It's a little old but I really liked the ideas. It seems like the most lacking thing about it was a good database with a solid rules and inference engine.
