What's the quickest way to get start with an OWL ontology in Stardog?

Hello, I am evaluating and testing out StarDog. I created an OWL ontology in Protege, and I want to know what’s easiest way to load the ontology into StarDog and query on the ontology.

I read the documentation and had a question: Is there a direct way to load the Protege OWL ontology into StarDog? Thank you.

Hi Marlon,

First thing you need to do is to have Protege save your ontology in an RDF-based format (Turtle, N-Triples, RDF/XML, etc). Then the resulting file can be added into a Stardog database like any other RDF document, for example, by using the stardog data add CLI command.

Your ontology will be automatically made available to your queries. Just run your queries as usual and they'll be executed w.r.t. the ontology.

See Home | Stardog Documentation Latest for more details.

Best,
Pavel
